So, when Kota first came out - he was WAY overpriced for being a stationary interactive toy. However, I just found him at Wal*Mart for $99 on clearance, and that was within reason for me to spend money on him.
Oh my gosh! -- he is so FUN! Very durable, as my 2 year old (i thought) was going to rip his head off, but Kota held up. Kota has a nice felt type "skin" covering.
The spring in his back for the kids to bounce on is a little stiff, probably to last as a little one becomes bigger.
Some of the reviews mentioned that sensors had some problems, but our Kota seems to be just fine, and we've had no problems with him.
Our cats don't really care for him (haha) but my son, who is 2 just loves him, and my daughter who is 4 months isn't scared of him so this was definitely a deal, and I look forward to my son growing older and being able to interact more with Kota.
