I never saw the original version of this toy, but I picked this one up cheap on Amazon. My 2 yr old likes it ok. It does not steer or have handles so it seems harder to ride. She just pushes it around with her feet so far. She has not figured out the bouncing part yet. For the price I paid I think it will be fine.
