I purchased this (Hispanic) doll for my daughter last Christmas 08 and my cousin purchased the white doll for her daughter because it was the only doll you can find in the stores during the holidays. We hunted for a couple months and eventually I quit looking. I found this doll on amazon.com. It was significantly higher than what the white doll was being sold for in the stores. I decided since this was such a major purchase for us, I wanted this baby doll to at least look more like my daughter so I paid the additional cost. My daughter plays with dolls of all nationalities but never had I found one that looked so much like her. On Christmas morning both girls opened their dolls and my daughter didn't want to put her's down. I didn't have time to read the box before wrapping, so I was shocked when she opened her baby doll and it spoke Spanish. Thank goodness it has the flexibility to speak either English or Spanish. My only complaint is that it keeps switching over from English to Spanish when the kids accidentally hit the button.
