My 18 month old really WANTS to play with this toy, but the tracks won't stay together long enough for him to enjoy it. I have to CONSTANTLY reattach the tracks on top and bottom. IF he doesn't touch the tracks at all, it works fine. But as soon as he bumps it, or tries to move it everything falls apart. My sister, however, has this toy for her son and have never had any problems with the assembly failing. Had I known sooner, I definitely would have exchanged it for a new one. Too late now.
