It's a nice set. The wood was scraped on the edges and the red material on the board was peeling when I received it.
I wasn't very impressed by the quality of the wood. I envisioned something of similar quality to my grandmother's scrabble board of the early 1980's but I guess things aren't made that well anymore.
I sent it back (Amazon was great as usual and I got my refund within 5 days of dropping it back at UPS).
I'll wait until the deluxe set goes on sale and see if I prefer the plastic over this lower quality wood.
Again, this is a decent set, but for the cost I thought that this would be a higher quality product. If you can get it on a good Amazon sale, it will be a good purchase.Get more detail about Scrabble Premier Wood Edition.
