Buying G.I. JOE Hasbro 25th Anniversary 3 3/4" Wave 2 Action Figure Cobra Emperor Serpentor

วันเสาร์ที่ 24 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2553

In 1982 Hasbro relaunched its popular G.I. Joe toys with a series of action figures tied to a new syndicated daily action-oriented cartoon. The series proved highly successful as were the toys tied to the show. That was twenty-five years ago and Hasbro has recently started to re-issue those original action, but in special 25th Anniversary packaging. In the cartoon series, G.I. Joe fought against the world dominion plans of an evil organization called Cobra. The leader of Cobra was a hooded figure named Cobra Commander. He pretty much ran the show for several years until a multi-arc storyline developed in which a new Cobra leader was cloned from the DNA of Julius Caesar, Napolean, Attila the Hun, and Hannibal. That cloned leader was codenamed Serpentor and Cobra Commander hated him. At the time I did, too. Serpentor seemed completely unnecessary (I didn't learn about how Hasbro was just trying to make more money until years later). However, he did have one of the coolest costumes of a G.I. Joe action figure ever. As part of the first wave of 25th Anniversary toys, Serpentor has been reintroduced in all of his imperial glory. I'm not sure why he's in the first line being re-issued since he didn't exist until the original G.I. Joe cartoon had been around for a couple of years, but apparently Hasbro thinks he's important. Of course, the real reason he's worth having is because he still has one of the coolest costumes of any action figure ever.Get more detail about G.I.
