We bought this little guy and haven't had any major issues getting him to work. Had an initial problem getting the remote and R2 to link together. Solved that by turning both off, then turning R2 on, followed by the remote. My son, 7, really likes this robot and gave him the 5 stars. (I defer to him, since he is the child and owner.) We have a number of other robots (D-Rex, for example) that cost far more money. They are, as you might expect, more "show-y." But this little guy is cute, makes all the right noises from the movie and moves around at quite a clip.
