Well, it doesn't flash and flicker nor does it make all sorts of cool cosmic noises but our son (and Dad) had fun with these. They frequently make up "routines" and they prefer a durable lightsaber w/o all the bells and whistles to one with all the bells and whistles that falls apart easily.
