I have old versions of Monopoly and Risk (originally for Windows 98) and I've kept them working up through XP, but it was time to upgrade. My review is a little mixed because there is A LOT missing from this version of Risk that was in my older version. There were two different ways to play the game and a lot options for different play within each game, whereas this has just one very basic version. It is fine, and it is the version closes to the board game, but I really liked some of the alternative versions better. So I'm disappointed in Risk and not playing it much.
The two versions of Monopoly, on the the other hand, are great. I really enjoy them and they have even more features than my old computer version. Plus, I like the updated Here and Now Monopoly version even better than the regular because it has new properties and more realistic prices. (Monopoly was due for an update...can't buy property for a couple thousand dollars anymore!)
While I mark it down for the fact that this version of Risk is a disappointment, I give it four stars because I really enjoy the Monopoly, and because the prices is very affordable for four classic games. (I'm not a Scrabble player so I can't really compare it to other versions.)Get more detail about Hasbro Classic Game Collection.
