I suspect a lot of people have bought this for their kids, remembering their own sturdy (perhaps slightly hot) Lite Brites. This is not that Lite Brite.
Pros:
- Small, compact. Won't take up much space, and it would travel well.
- Case for pegs--excellent idea. (See cons)
- Battery-powered--don't have to put the kid near an outlet. Use rechargeables, of course.
- It's a Lite Brite!
Cons:
- If you don't open the peg case carefully, pegs go everywhere. It only took me a couple of tries to learn how not to spray pegs, but I don't think my four-year-old will take the same care.
- I *think* my old 80s Lite Brite had a place in the back to store the templates. If it didn't, it should have. And this one should too. Then it would all be self-contained.Get more detail about Lite Brite Flat Screen Purple.
