I don't have much experience with other Transformers, but I wouldn't recommend this one for young kids. For one thing, it doesn't transform into anything that kids would be familiar with. It turns into a weird looking tank thing. Also, the gun arm barely stays on. Not sure why they designed it like this, but it comes off all the time, even when loading the gun. So it's not very durable in that my kid has to constantly stop playing with it to fix it. He does love to play with it, but that also because it's his first Transformer and he loves the franchise even though he's never seen any of the movies or tv shows (I'm assuming there are tv shows).Get more detail about Transformers Movie 2 Robot Replicas - Megatron.
