I picked this up for my 5 year old for Christmas. It *would* have been a cute idea, however, the car doesn't fit the track right. After about 10 minutes, any adult is ready to pulverize Mr Monopoly after being driven nuts by his "oops! You went too far - go back three spaces!" The car doesn't register the spaces correctly - the bumps in the tracks sometimes count as spaces, which would be okay...whatever, but the most annoying thing is when you're moving along many spaces and NONE of them are registering. Sometimes I just got disgusted and picked up the car and pressed the bottom sensors until he finally shut up. I'm surprised that they would actually design this game and then not have the car fit the track correctly. He was sort of above the piece of track he is supposed to rest solidly on. I have bought a few figures from the 25th anniversery collection, and was more or less satisfied with them, so I bought this guy, and can't figure out what they were thinking. First the big gripe, I removed the helmet a soon as I took it out, seeing as how cobra commander has a removable helmet that goes back on, I thought this one would too. I was wrong, it dosen't. Cobra commander has a notch on the back of his head to fit the helmet back on, for some odd reason this guy dosen't, so once his helmet comes off, you can just lay it back on the head, only to have fall off every time he is moved. It is sad, because other than that it is a decent figure, nicely detailed, and unlike some of the other figures from the line, his hands actually can hold weapons well. Let me describe this thing.

This is a meaty truck.

Large and heavy. I got this for my 3 yr old although box says 5+. Really perfect for a 3 yr old except for the hefty weight when held in the gun position.

My 3 yr old loves the sounds and sayings even though he isn't into Transformers. In gun mode, pressing the buttons yields 4 spoken sayings. Pressing the triggers generates a shooting sound.

In truck the button does motorized sounds.

It's easy to convert from truck to gun and back. It's one quick motion of holding the two handles on the truck. But again heavy to hold as a gun for a younger than 5 yr old. And not something a 3 yr old can quite transform yet.

Sounds are loud. But my 3 yr old imitates the spoken lines which is a hilarious.

Unit overall is durable, but there are 2 plastic flaps that came off quickly as others mentioned. WE just left them off. You don't really notice them off.

In truck mode it's pretty much unbreakable. In gun mode there's more of a chance of damaging 2 parts that stay "flapped out" if you were to drop the gun on pavement or step on it if it's on the ground, but overall solid and so far so good.

My family gave this to my son who is four as a precursor to legos or duplos. We all had fun and really like them and found that they put together easily and stay together well. The clipos can be a bit tricky- sometimes they do not go on to each other immediately and require some study and rotation of the clipos to get them to fit together, which I can see may frustrate a child who is not ready for these. Again my son is four and in preschool.
My son received three clipo items, but this bucket, which enables the child to build on a car platform, is my son's favorite. It's a terrific learning toy which inspires building and creativity, and the only reason I do not give it a five star rating is because I think the child needs to be older than the age targeted by Hasbro. I have been looking for/trying to buy the ethnic version of this and several other dolls and am soooooooooo frustrated at the lack of availabilty & the INSANE PRICE GOUGHING INVOLVED!
If you DO manage to FIND THE DOLL THE PRICE IS SO INSANELY HIGH THAT YOU JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT! And I am a grown-up (white) doll "collector" who doesn't neccesarily "need" these dolls. I can only IMAGINE THE FRUSTRATION LEVEL OF THE BLACK/HISPANIC PARENTS & GRANDPARENTS OUT THERE TRYING TO GET THESE DOLLS FOR THEIR CHILDREN/GRANDCHILDREN. I WOULD BE LIVID!!!!!!!!

You press it's back, it moves slightly lower, blinks it's eyes and the tail wags gently, and it whines quietly. After the first few times, the toy gets set down and kids move on. It is cute, but not cuddly as the machinery inside is very hard and close to the surface. I hoped it would be something my g'daughter would want to take to bed, but it really isn't that kind of stuffed animal. Frankly, I am not sure what a kid would do with it.

The price isn't bad, under $20. I orignally bought the more expensive one that rolls over and immediately sent it back. That one was hard as a rock and the animal itself wasn't really cute.

Like the previous reviewer.. I wasnt sure about getting Jolt...but after reading some reviews and seeing other pictures I went ahead and bought him. I am glad I did. This could easily become one of my favorites. I am an old school G1 fan and have always loved Jazz. But Jolt is just very pleasing to the eye..almost captivating. Very easy to get into robot mode and is extremely stable when standing. I am truly hoping the develop this characters personality in the next movie. From the back card on the box, could make for a fun addition.

Another advantage of this figure's height is that Crime Boss is big enough to hold his massive foot locker with both hands, unlike most Sigma Six figures. Crime Boss's body is the same one used for the Sigma Six Destro figure. For those who don`t own the previous Sigma Six Destro and are therefore unfamiliar with the sculpt and articulation for Crime Boss, I`ll describe Crime Boss`s sculpt and other features. For those who already bought the Sigma Six Destro, I'll describe what features make Crime Boss similar and different from the first Sigma Six Destro figure. Like Sigma Six Destro, Crime Boss has three molded holes in his back to hold weapons. The PAINT job on Crime Boss greatly differs to the Sigma Six Destro. As Sigma Six Destro was painted to have grey gloves, Crime Boss's hands are painted with maroon gloves and there is a red square painted on the back of his right hand. Instead of the blue pants with gold straps and black boots, Crime Boss has removable maroon colored shorts, with all black pants, straps, and boots under the shorts. While Sigma six Destro is painted without a shirt and a given a removable jacket, Crime Boss has a black painted sleeveless shirt and is given a removable weapons harness. The eyes are the same for both figures, painted a bright solid red. Instead of painting Destro`s whole head in a shiny, metallic paint, like on the Sigma Six figure; only a centered strip extending from the back of Crime Boss's skull to his chin is painted in the shiny metallic paint. The sculpted lines found on the sides of Crime Boss's face are the same sculpt from Sigma Six Destro, except on Crime Boss the sculpted lines act as the border to keep in the strip of shiny, metallic paint. These lines containing the shiny paint, start out as a narrow strip at the back of his skull, but then begin to widen at his forehead, until finally expanding over his cheekbones and jaw. Outside the lines, on the sides of his head, there's a very mild, metallic paint job that compliments the shiny, centered stripe. Crime Boss's head is a major improvement from the Sigma Six Destro's head, because although the completely shiny head looked good right out of the package; dirt, smudges, and scratches from action figure usage can easily become visible on the Sigma Six Destro`s head. Crime Boss's head limits that visibility by decreasing the surface area of shiny paint, while keeping that classic, metal head Destro look. The SCULPT of this figure is not super detailed; but, like most other Commandoes or Sigma Six figures, it possesses a rather stylized or artistic sculpt that mirrors the character drawings from the cartoon. In my opinion, this figure perfectly translates the artwork of the Sigma Six show from a drawing into a sculpture. Although this figure is overall not super detailed, this figure does have some thoroughly sculpted features; the crumpled pant legs that submerge into the straps of his boots; the treads and laces of the boots add that extra touch that any kid or collector can appreciate. Also, the lines and wrinkles that are formed when muscle contracts are superbly sculpted into his arms and shoulders and are also present in his legs, abdominals and upper torso. His wrists, and the outer surfaces of his forearms and shoulders have carved lines that were added to point out the connections of the metal plates used to vac-metallize Destro. Also found on his outer forearms and shoulders, are extra layers of plastic that are sculpted to look like thicker layers of metal, meant to add protection over his arms and shoulders. Even though Crime Boss uses the same body from Sigma Six Destro, Crime Boss has one minor but crucial extra point of ARTICULATION: The Kung Fu Grip, which allows Crime Boss to hold any of his weapons or loot securely. He has ball joints in his shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. His head is a ball and socket joint, while his waist is a swivel joint, and his torso is a hinge joint. I estimate the points of articulation for Crime Boss to be at 30 (including the Kung Fu Grip) and I reached that number by counting each ball joint as 2 points of articulation, and also counting the ball and socket head as 3 points; so the articulation point total may vary depending on how you count the points.

ACCESSORIES:
Crime Boss Destro comes with 18 accessories, and I reached that number by counting his rifle and projectile as one accessory; as well as counting the safe deposit box, which can be gently pulled apart into 2 pieces as one accessory. The other accessories include 4 gold bars, 4 stacks of cash, 2 tear gas grenades, 1 Uzi styled handheld machine gun, 1 huge desert-eagled style handgun with a scope, 1 gas mask, 1 weapons harness, 1 pair of shorts, and 1 foot locker. So it seems that even if you already have the Sigma Six Destro, or if you're into slightly smaller scaled action figures, Crime Boss Destro is still a worthy purchase as these are some undeniably awesome action figure accessories. Regarding weapons, there's a huge rifle with a projectile that loads into it, and fires about 2-3 feet, so be careful not to fire it towards your eyes, or face as well as anyone else`s. The Uzi is nice, but not a star of the set; the handgun is very nice and has a grey marbled texture on its grip. The tear gas grenades, along with 2 of the guns have pegs meant to fit into the harness. On the back of the harness there are 4 holes which fit over the 3 holes sculpted into his back, so it's nice to gain that extra hole when he's wearing the harness. On the front lower right strap of the harness there are two holes where the grenades or Uzi can go. I was able to fit 2 guns on his back and 2 grenades on the front while he was wearing the harness. The handgun can be held by the belt loops on the shorts, which have superbly molded plastic kneepads that hang freely from elastic straps sewn into the shorts. Remember to be careful with the velcro strip that holds the shorts up, pull it apart too hard and you might tear the seam. The gas mask itself is molded plastic, but the straps are elastic which is a good choice for Destro, because the elastic helps hold the mask snug without scratching Destro's metal looking head. The safe deposit box opens and although it can't hold all the gold and all the money when closed, it doesn't matter; this is an awesome accessory. It does hold the four gold bars and two of the stacks of money while closed. The stacks themselves are molded to resemble 100 dollar bills with a clip down the middle. The gold bars look bright enough to almost resemble real gold and they have "20k" in molded writing on the top of them. The safe deposit box has a sculpted number and a painted bank logo with writing next to it. An open gash is molded on the outer face of the box, and on the inside there's a yellow grated texture that's been molded into the lining of the box`s drawer. The foot locker that can be assembled with the two halves found on the outside of the Crime boss Destro package, is different than the Sigma Six foot locker. Crime Boss's foot locker is bright red, and has a sleeker sculpt compared to the Sigma Six lockers. Also, this foot locker does not stack with the Sigma Six ones. On Crime Boss's locker, there are the same size pegs on the locker's top and grooves on the underside that were used for the Sigma six lockers. These pegs and grooves allowed multiple Sigma Six foot lockers to be securely stacked on top of each other, but they're spaced too far apart on Crime Boss's locker and the wide grooves don't line up with the more narrowly arranged Sigma Six locker pegs, so you can`t securely stack this red locker with the Sigma Six ones. And, there's no foam insert to cushion the accessories within Crime Boss's foot locker, although you can still fit all his accessories in it. One more interesting aspect of the foot locker is that it has a slit, like the Sigma Six lockers, at the top where the plastic hook attached so the figure could hold on the pegs at the store. This slit resembles a coin slot, except on Sigma Six lockers, there are too many openings on the locker for it to be used as a safe coin bank. Crime Boss Destro's foot locker not only has a slit that fits most coin sizes, but the locker itself has no unsafe openings surrounding it and can be used as an effective piggy bank.Get more detail about G.I. First of all, the packaging on this (see my customer images) clearly states "Includes Display Stand". This vehicle does not come with a display stand, I took mine back to the shop and so they opened a few others as well and none have a display stand. So I did get to keep the item for free due to the false advertising factor but having to return something online is always a bit of a nightmare so I'll give you the heads up before you decide to purchase or not. Still a nice vehicle to own, and you should still buy it but obviously the price in your head is going to be a bit lower than you would pay for the vehicle when it comes with a display stand. No stand is a shame as it's pretty much the only one of these Star Wars Titanium things where it isn't readily recognisable by most people visiting your house that it is a Star Wars thing without you saying in response to "what the hey is this thing?" It's the Sandcrawler from Star Wars that those little hooded guys (yes Jawas but if you know this you probably would have recognised the vehicle) sold the droids to Luke and his uncle from." I know the stands that most of the other vehicles (for example Jabba's Sail Barge) wouldn't work with a non floating vehicle but they could easily have used the same stand they used for the Indiana Jones Indiana Jones Titanium Series Die-Cast Vehicles, they could have even used the exact same painted one, all they would have had to do was change the sticker to the Star Wars logo.

It also would have been nice to include a few little Jawas either inside the hatch (which opens) or just loose to display beside the vehicle. A major characteristic of the various movie line range by Hasbro Titanium series is the bonus movie character figures that are attached to the vehicles. With Star Wars they haven't put much effort into this, only the odd stormtrooper on a vehicle (or reptile). If you're not going to include a stand then the Jawas were essential for identifying the vehicle.

The Sandcrawler is quite a heavy little thing, you will surprised by the weight, there is no other Titanium series vehicle I have come across from any movie that weighs even half this much. The tank like treads on the vehicle do not move. Like with the Persian Tank out of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Hasbro has put little wheels underneath the base (see customer images). They are very well hidden and you don't notice them without flipping the Sandcrawler, so I'll give them that. The vehicle also moves extremely fast with these wheels. Why when the one in the movie doesn't move like a racecar does the replica need to though, who knows?

As I mentioned before the front does open up. It doesn't however quite reach the ground so droids like R2 wouldn't be able to get up the ramp without being picked up. Wussy robots like C3PO would probably also trip making the gap. A bit disappointing on the inside, just a grey wall with a few tools in front and sticking out of the wall. As I said before, Jawas would have been nice or even a few droids rather than the average wall.

It's quite well detailed on the outside, I haven't gone back and looked at the scenes in Star Wars to see just how accurate these are but check out my images and decide for yourself. By the way if you are unfamiliar with this type of packaging it is very different to your usual diecast vehicle blister pack. It is a lot stronger and if posted to you would ensure the vehicle reaches you in better condition than the traditional style would. You can open the packet by slitting down the side, top and bottom and open the packaging mummy casket style if you think you may want to be able to sell this later with the packaging intact (although obviously opened but sealed with sticky tape.)

The build and light/sound quality of this is great. Takes a good beating and has a realistic set of "turn-on", "turn-off", "swing", and "clash" sounds. Compared to the Rubies costume sabers, this model is rock-solid (Rubies' accessories are quite junky, even if they are cheap).

Two exceptions: 1) The lowest segment of the "blade" never retracts, I think this was to make room in the handle for the sound and motion electronics, but I've seen newer models that retract completely, 2) It turns off after about 3 minutes of not being used... this is great if you're in constant saber battles, but really? couldn't this have been a bit longer?

This product: funky alternatives! Early version of Chewbacca before filming for Star Wars even begin as desinged by Ralph Mcquarrie.

In General: Back in the early 80's my brother bought a Ralph Mcquarrie "Star Wars" "Portfolio" with "Letterbox" style pre-production paintings for the "first" "Star Wars" film. I remember how my imagination ran wild with the "alternate" versions of all the main characters. I espescially dug the Luke vs. Darth Vader painting where Vader had this very wolf-like mask where the top helmet was much more Samuri looking and the mouth grill came out like the snout of a wolf (an Luke looked cool with the oxygen mask too).
The Stormtroopers looked cooler too, and they had lightsabers! and shields!
And the painting of the two droids was cool because R2 looked much more expressive and functional, and 3PO looked just like the robot from "Metropolis".

Anyway, someone, somewhere, had the brilliant idea to actually make action figures based on these early pre-production paintings by McQuarrie!

I've managed to purchase the first 8 of the 12 thus far (Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Luke, C-3PO and R2-D2, Chewbacca, & Ben Kenobi and Yoda) and look forward to the final 4 (Leia Starkiller, Han [George Lucas] Solo, Snowtrooper, and the one I've been wanting since around 1980: McQuarrie Darth Vader!).

We got this for our daughter for Christmas because she wanted Strawberry Shortcake and her friend in the same set. It is very cute and she loves the dolls since they are scented and simply sweet to look at, but I have a couple of issues with it. The point of this set is the strawberry lemonade and the pieces are so teeny tiny that she can't grab them real well to place them on the table without knocking over the table set. The hat for Strawberry Shortcake doesn't stay on her head and even if you shove it on, it pops off. The only way it sits on her head is if you pull it all the way down to her nose which looks ridiculous since her eyes are peeping over the visor. I thought maybe it would fit the other doll, but it doesn't. Also, the only way the dolls can sit on the chairs is if you sit them on it perfectly because the dolls are a bit too heavy for the chairs. The chairs need a bit more weight to hold the dolls correctly. It is a cute pretend set and my daughter does like it, but it could have been better. well i guess if you never played with transformers as a kid you don't understand how they work. you really have to pop them hard into place. if you don't, it WILL fall apart. and you have to push HARD to get them to make certain positions, etc. i can see how those not familiar might either be concerned if they push too hard it will break or think they have it locked in place but they really don't. it may take some tinkering to get it right if you aren't very familiar with the concept.

otherwise, for us (both my husband and i loved transformers as a kid and star wars) this was lots of fun to put together! and my son has gotten HOURS of play and enjoyment. my only complaint is that i can't readily find replacement gun parts. my son took the falcon over to a friends where there was a 2 year old- who shot it and lost the parts. :(

The feeling of these action figures is very different that the feel when they were still made in America with a higher quality plastic. They are obviously made much cheaper now, which I'm sure was the whole point...however the product really does show the cheapness.
My 7 year old loves GI Joe and spends hours setting up zones all down the hall in every doorway. He has several, some were my 14 year old sons from 10 years ago and the new ones have already started to break beyond repair. At least there were 5, maybe 1 or 2 will make it.
My boys are not rough with their toys at all - the little one will even wipe them off before putting them away if they get dusty - so it's not an issue that he is too hard on them.

I am a G1 fan and haven't seen either of the live-action films, but I do like the new transformers in the movie toylines. This is "Desert Tracker Ratchet", a Voyager class transformer from the second live-action movie, "Revenge of the Fallen." He is a redeco of a previous incarnation from the 2007 movie. Unfortunately, I am disappointed in this version of Ratchet due to its lack of durability. It's a shame because this is a very neat looking toy.

My first impression of Ratchet was as a camouflage Hummer (as packaged) when my son opened it. I think that Hummers are very neat looking vehicles, and Ratchet is no exception. It's a big, hulking vehicle that you could imagine clobbering someone with. That's one of my personal definitions of a good toy - when you hit someone with it, it should hurt. There's not a lot of detail or action going on in Ratchet's vehicle mode, although the roof rack is removable (so is the front grill, but I don't think it should be...)

I was a little nervous about working the transform from vehicle to robot. The arms and legs are solid and bulky, but the "backbone" (which I think is a transmission or suspension in vehicle mode) is very thin and felt somewhat fragile to me. Also, some of the movements were hard for me to do the first time without applying more pressure than I felt appropriate. His windshield folds out of the way in a manner that I find visually appealing. The final robot is big and solid, at least over most of the form. He has a secret axe that folds out of his arm, although I think it looks more like a giant cufflink.

My real problem with Ratchet is a fragility of joints that belies his rock-solid appearance. His front undercarriage flips away to reveal his head, but the joints are so loose that the part always falls off the robot. The door panels that make his wings (beyond the doors themselves) fall off constantly and are so loose at this point that a slight touch to the toy causes them to drop off. Unlike the undercarriage bit, this is quite visible in the vehicle mode, although neither one is necessary for the robot mode.

Ultimately, the vehicle mode and robot mode look very nice and are big and solid. Unfortunately, they are not sturdy and my son has an impressive pile of pieces that belong to Ratchet but won't stay on anymore. For a Voyager class figure, I expected better. I think the adult collector will find it an attractive piece, and maybe the youngsters will like it regardless of missing pieces (my son does)Get more detail about Desert Tracker Ratchet.

So it's not very durable in that my kid has to constantly stop playing with it to fix it. I have never reviewed a product, but after assembling this item, I must. The instructions and color coded skeleton frame to assemble the castle is amazing. Very easy to put together, very easy. And with the castle in two sections, it can be moved from room to room. My wife and I had the castle waiting for our 3yr old in the living room Christmas morning, and then we easily moved it to her play room. I would highly recommend this castle to anyone with a small girl.

It is large enough to house my wife, myself and my daughter all at the same time, and I am no twig. It is durable material, with a metal frame. The doors were a bit bent from the boxing, but they straighten up nicely. The two towers that attach to the castle could use a firmer rod to puff them up, but my wife and I are thinking we fill it with cotton to fix it up.

This is the best two pack from the series so far! Beachhead is basically the same except he comes with some groundbreaking accessories for the 25th Anniv. line. Beachhead has a great satchel with a removeable magazine, a maskless head (Terrific!), and a pull-down mask piece. Mainframe is great as well. He doesn't quite look like he did in the cartoon, but he is still a fantastic figure. Mainframe comes with an awesome portable computer, a sweet smg, and a remote/radio. Overall, this is my favorite two-pack set and I would highly, highly recommend this product!
