All three of my kids travel a lot out of town because they are on a team. They enjoy watching their video now players because they can watch it to kill time while waiting for their turn to swim. The picture quality for adults isn't very good, but kids really don't care. They have all the cartoons memorized from when they aired on TV anyway. They love the screen being bigger than the older version, and they like the color picture. It's a small price to pay for cheap entertainment.
